Executive Pastor Osborne and Sister Ruth M. Turner

Osborne and Ruth are lifelong members of the COCHUSA. Osborne is the sixth child of the late Deacon James L. Turner and Deaconess Johnnie B. Liddell-Turner. Pastor Turner is native of Jackson MS. He graduated from Forest Hill High School, received a BS in Business Management from Jackson State University and Bachelors in Biblical Studies from Christ Missionary & Industrial College. He continued post graduate studies in Christian Education at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson MS. Osborne served as musician in his local church and a number of other COCHUSA churches in Mississippi. His childhood membership was Mt. Zion COCHUSA under the leadership of, Elder Willie Jenkins Sr. He married Ms. Ruth A. Moore, June 30th, 1984 (31 Years) and the couple later joined Christ Temple Church Jackson, MS under the leadership of Bishop Maurice D. Bingham. Pastor Turner served as Musician, Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon and later an associate Minister of the church. Pastor Turner also served as Seminar Music Workshop Coordinator (National Seminar Music Workshop) for 25 years. His service to the Lord included Producer of the first live recording at a National Convention “COCHUSA LIVE” in Tulsa, OK August 9, 1999 title cut “I Hope To Meet You There”. In November 1997 accepted the call to preach the Gospel. He was assigned to serve the pulpit at Rock Hill COCHUSA Mt. Olive MS January 1998. He was assigned as Pastor at First COCHUSA Starkville MS and Caney Creek COCHUSA Jackson MS. under the leadership of Bishop Joseph R. Campbell Jr. In 2012, After 25 years with U.S. Postal Service, Pastor Turner relocated to Dallas TX accepting a job promotion to the Southern Area Office as a Network Operation Analyst and has now accepted the call to establish a church plant in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex area. Restoration Fellowship Church has been established to change lives in the community, family and ultimately our world where reconciliation, repentance and restoration takes us back to our rightful place in Christ.

Ruth is the oldest of two daughters born to the late Elder (Professor) Frank A. Moore and Deaconess Evia Braddock Moore. Ruth is a native of Jackson MS, she graduated from Callaway High School, received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology/minor in Social Work from Jackson State University and a Master’s degree in Sociology from Mississippi State University, Starkville MS. Her childhood membership was at “The Mother Church” Christ Temple Church, Jackson, MS. Ruth worked alongside her parents as they pastored numerous churches in Mississippi. The Turners’ have four adult children, Brittany Turner, practicing attorney in Atlanta GA, Lauren Turner, BS degree in Sociology from Rust College, Franklin Turner, (wife Tania Tisdale Turner) BA degree Vocal Performance from Mississippi College and a Master’s Degree in choral conducting from the University of South Carolina and their youngest, Alexandria Turner, a BS in Biology from Jackson State University and a candidate for Master’s Degree in Counseling.  Ruth has served as help meet/ partner alongside her husband in many capacities. The couple has conducted various church leadership workshop conferences. She served as President of the women’s group in the Ministers’ Wives and Widows unit. She currently serves as Coordinator of vendor’s for the National COCHUSA Convention. Ruth worked for Mississippi State Hospital as a Mental Health Social Worker for 28 years and also was a licensed mental Health Therapist. A public speaker to woman and conducting workshops on various subjects relevant to women’s ministry; she continues to be used in this capacity, Ruth will lead the Women’s Ministry at Restoration Fellowship Church. She is eager to share the witness of what God can do in the lives of women in the Dallas-Fort-Worth Metroplex area.
